Kathy - knee PRP

I was in a lot of pain, daily, pretty much hourly. I could not walk anymore. I used to be really active and would walk two miles a day. After 3 treatment and 8 months now, I am able to walk a mile… I am so excited because I can get my life back now. When I wake up in the morning I pop out of bed. I do my exercises… I am able to do pretty much whatever I want. I can go shopping now for several hours where before I couldn’t walk from the front of the store to the back of the store without stopping or sitting down. And that was just 6 months ago. So, I’m really excited.

I was headed toward a knee replacement… I was in so much pain, thinking I just cannot live like this anymore. I found Dr. Minotti, and I am so thankful I did not have the surgery...

Robert - knee PRP

30 years of competitive softball did not help my knees out. I actually had scope surgery done on my knee. Over the years the wear and tear were causing a lot of recurring pain, sort of an arthritic type thing. I was referred to Dr. Minotti. With further research, I decided it was the right thing for me. I like not putting a foreign product into my body to repair it, but using what comes out of my own body seems very logical to me.

Now, really the only time I have any issues is if I sit too long or if I have long driving trips. Last week I went to Galveston and back and really had no pain to speak of which is not what I had been experiencing for the past three years. My pain went from a 7 before the procedure to a 0.

Kristin - Lumbar facet, left knee - PRP

I had started having some lower back problems in that facet joint and had some traditional injections under full sedation… I am an equestrian, so balance and strength are very important to me. I had been seeing Dr. Minotti for another condition. When I mentioned to him that my back injections were wearing off, he suggested doing PRP. Being an equestrian, we have used those therapies for horses for a while, so I knew their efficacy. When he told me it would take one hour in the office for literally 25% the out of pocket cost of an injections, I said let’s give it a try. I have had two previous knee surgeries, so I knew there was some cartilage wear and tear in the knee.

I had a little discomfort with the injection directly into the ligament that lasted 24 hours. No problems into the back or knee joint capsule at all. It took about a month to reach full efficacy. All of the areas have remained stable. You don’t have to put up with the pain. You shouldn’t have to.
